• Variable: A symbol, typically a letter, used to represent an unknown or changing value in an equation. Common variables include "x," "y," and "z."

• Constant: A fixed numerical value that does not change in an expression or equation, like the number "5" in "3x + 5."

Arithmetic Terms:
